Medical Missions

In addition to performing hair procedures at Hair Restoration Institute of the Hudson Valley, Dr. Silverman is a plastic surgeon. Inspired by his time at St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, he's donated time and used his skill to help those in need.

Grenada

In March of 2015, Dr. Silverman met with members of Grenada's Ministry of Health and the general hospital's medical director to establish a plastic surgery medical mission to the island.

While there, Dr. Silverman performed several surgical procedures, including surgeries and flap reconstructions on burn patients.

"Grenada allowed me to fulfill my dream of becoming a physician. Now it is my turn to give back to the community. My goal is to provide plastic surgery services to the population of Grenada at least once a year." — Dr. Adam T. Silverman

Guatemala

While Dr. Silverman was completing his general surgery residency, Dr. Goldfarb, the program chairman, nominated him to attend a medical mission in Guatemala. In February of 2008, Dr. Silverman went to the Hospital de la Familia in Nuevo Progreso, Guatemala. He and his team performed more than 100 surgical procedures throughout the week.
